Strong Cancer Recovery

Strong Cancer Recovery is a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization founded by Nancy Litterman Howe. Nancy is working on her PhD dissertation at Arizona State University’s Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Howe is on the Editorial Board for Conquer Magazine, the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators’ official patient magazine, and is on the Cancer Support Community, Arizona Professional Advisory Board.

The Strong Cancer Recovery website now provides public access to Howe’s dissertation research into cancer rehabilitation, Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs), Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), and the NIH Patient-Reported Outcome Measures Information System (PROMIS).  You can contact Nancy at


Nancy Litterman Howe

Nancy Litterman Howe, M.S., C.E.S. is a cancer survivor and a 4th-year PhD student at Arizona State University, Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. As a 2020-2021 National Coalition of Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) Elevate Ambassador, Howe advocates for providing cancer rehabilitation services to people from the point of cancer diagnosis, through treatment, and for the balance of life.
